Mentoring and business advice
Starting your own business is a daunting prospect and often there is nobody you can turn to for encouragement and practical advice. I can offer you advice on all aspects of setting up business as a therapist ----- from where you should work to what you should charge. An initial face to face session will last from 2 to 3 hours, follow up sessions and ongoing mentoring can be provided as required.
One to one or small group training
If you are a Sports Masseur, a Masseur, a Physiotherapist, an Osteopath, a Chiropractor or simply someone someone who is interested in massage I can help you. For health professionals looking to improve their hands on skills I can provide expert tuition in Soft Tissue Release, Muscle Energy Technique, Neuro Muscular Technique, Connective Tissue Massage, Tapotement, Effleurage, Petrissage and 'no hands' techniques. If you have no previous experience but would like an introduction to the basics of massage I can start you off and then point you in the right direction for further education.
Conferences
I am intimately involved in all aspects of the massage industry as Vice Chair of the Sports Massage Association (www.thesma.org), Chair of the General Council for Massage Therapies (www.gcmt.org.uk), Profession Specific Board Member for Massage for the voluntary regulator for complementary therapies CNHC (www.cnhc.org.uk). I also sit on the LOCOG Physical Therapies Workstream for the 2012 Olympics as the Sports Massage representative. I am happy to present on any aspect of the industry at your conference or deliver a practical workshop.
Treatments
I ran a very successful Sports Massage business in Hertfordshire for 10 years, but industry work seems to have left less and less time for the 'hands on' work. However, I do have a limited amount of slots available on a monthly basis. I no longer have a clinic so will have to operate on a home visit basis. If you are interested please give me a call or email me.
